DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our high performing Technology team. As a DevOps Engineer at swipejobs, you’ll play a critical role in managing and enhancing our production systems. You'll work across the full technology stack with a strong focus on infrastructure, automation, security, and CI/CD pipelines. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact U.S. product from Australia and be deeply involved in shaping the future of our platform.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain stable, secure, and high-performance production environments
• Manage and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on security and scalability
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GoCD
• Automate infrastructure and deployments using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes
• Implement and manage monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Icinga, ELK stack)
• Script and develop tools using Python and Bash
• Support secure containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth build, test, and deployment workflows

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in the Australian market, ideally in fast-paced, agile environments
• Strong experience with AWS, especially networking and VPC setups
• Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production
• Expertise in infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, SaltStack, and Terraform
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting
• Familiarity with the ELK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana)
• Exposure to technologies such as Kafka, Apache Spark, and MongoDB is a plus
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GoCD preferred)
