DESCRIPTION AND TASKS

Are you ready for an exciting challenge in the dynamic world of the insurance sector? Would you like to use your knowledge and experience with us to help shape the IT landscape and bring it to the Cloud? Then you are the Cloud infrastructure engineer we are looking for!

As a Cloud infrastructure engineer, you manage the cloud workloads and understand the needs of the DevOps teams like no other. You are jointly responsible for the implementation of our Cloud infrastructure. You build fundamental components that allow the DevOps teams to work quickly.

Your professional expertise is used to support the devops teams. You offer support in configuration as well as in choosing the right Azure resources, guidance in migrating to Azure, building and managing infrastructure. You will therefore also work closely with the various development teams, the DevOps System team and the Client group cloud team. In short, you will contribute to the development of our Azure catalog with standard offerings.

You act as a 'change agent' who helps shape the maturity of our current cloud environment and defines the technical direction. You will stimulate the acceptance and awareness of continuous delivery and evangelize the benefits of CICD together with the DevOps System team lead.

PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE

Infrastructure knowledge & experience

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Azure Cloud engineering and infrastructure design
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code with a focus on Terraform
• Knowledge of Azure resources, subnets
• Kennis van firewall (WAF), networking, Vnets, subnets...
• Kennis van service endpoints en private endpoints, private DNS Zones en Hub-and-Spoke architectuur
• Knowledge of Azure Container Apps, including scalability, Dapr integration, and microservices.
• Experience with Azure Functions (serverless) and Azure App Services, including deployment slots, autoscaling, App Service Environment (ASE).
• Experience in designing and building SaaS/PaaS cloud components
• Working in an enterprise environment
• Able to quickly gain an insight into a complex landscape
• Not afraid to simplify 'aggressively' where possible/necessary
• The Cloud Engineer we are looking for has at least a Microsoft certificate. Extras are certainly welcome.
• [Bonus Points] Azure certified (or willing to achieve). Certifications in scope: AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-500, AZ-700, SC-300.
• Knowledge and/or experience with DevOps and CICD tools is a plus
