About the Role
We are looking for a Chatbot Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of conversational AI and virtual assistant projects within a leading banking environment. You will oversee the implementation, optimization, and scaling of chatbot solutions aimed at improving customer engagement and internal operational efficiency. This role combines project management expertise with a solid understanding of AI-driven technologies in a regulated financial context.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead chatbot-related projects from ideation to deployment across customer service, internal support, and compliance use cases.
- Translate business requirements into project plans and AI solution designs in collaboration with product owners, IT, UX, and data teams.
- Coordinate third-party vendors, development teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality deliveries.
- Monitor chatbot performance (NLP accuracy, containment rate, user satisfaction) and propose enhancements based on analytics and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, GDPR, and internal security standards.
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to business and executive stakeholders.
- Align chatbot roadmap with digital transformation initiatives across the bank.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in conversational AI, chatbot platforms, or digital banking.
- Experience working in or with financial institutions, ideally in a regulated, enterprise-scale environment.
- Familiarity with chatbot/NLP technologies (e.g. IBM Watson, Microsoft Bot Framework, Google Dialogflow, LivePerson, or Rasa).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in both technical and business contexts.
- Fluent in English and either French or Dutch (ideally both).
Nice to Have
- Certifications in Agile (Scrum, SAFe) or PMP/Prince2.
- Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, training data needs, and user experience principles.
- Experience integrating chatbots with core banking systems or CRMs (e.g. Salesforce).
- Familiarity with change management in banking or financial services.
