Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop machine learning and AI models tailored to business needs
  • Build scalable pipelines for data preprocessing, training, evaluation, and deployment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI solution architecture and project scope
  • Fine-tune and optimize models for performance, accuracy, and scalability
  • Integrate models into production environments (cloud or on-premise)
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve deployed solutions
  • Communicate results and insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Proven freelance or contract experience delivering AI/ML solutions
  • Strong Python skills with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar
  • Solid knowledge of ML algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus
  • Based in or able to commute to Munich 2-3 days per week

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in NLP, computer vision, or time-series modeling
  • Background in a specific domain (e.g., automotive, medtech, finance)
  • Knowledge of data privacy and ethical AI practices
