Responsibilities:
- Design and develop machine learning and AI models tailored to business needs
- Build scalable pipelines for data preprocessing, training, evaluation, and deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI solution architecture and project scope
- Fine-tune and optimize models for performance, accuracy, and scalability
- Integrate models into production environments (cloud or on-premise)
- Monitor, maintain, and improve deployed solutions
- Communicate results and insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements:
- Proven freelance or contract experience delivering AI/ML solutions
- Strong Python skills with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar
- Solid knowledge of ML algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, CI/CD pipelines)
- Fluency in English; German is a plus
- Based in or able to commute to Munich 2-3 days per week
Nice to Have:
- Experience in NLP, computer vision, or time-series modeling
- Background in a specific domain (e.g., automotive, medtech, finance)
- Knowledge of data privacy and ethical AI practices
