Full Stack Engineer

Job Title: Full Stack Engineer – Python, JavaScript (Vue/React), Kubernetes

Location: Cork, Ireland (Hybrid - 3 days on Site - 2 days WFH)

Experience: 4–8 years preferred

I'm currently hiring on behalf of a world-leading technology company with a major presence in Cork. We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong Python expertise, modern frontend skills (Vue.js or React), and solid experience with Kubernetes and DevOps tools.

In this role, you’ll join a high-impact, cross-functional team that builds scalable, secure, and maintainable web applications and services used globally. It's an opportunity to work at scale, contribute to mission-critical systems, and collaborate with some of the best minds in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using Python (FastAPI, Flask).
• Build dynamic and responsive user interfaces with Vue.js or React.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and work within a microservices architecture.
• Work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Snowflake for data management and performance optimization.
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments using Kubernetes.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain high code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions.
• Monitor and optimize production systems for reliability and performance.

Must-Have:

• Strong backend development skills in Python.
• Solid frontend experience with Vue.js or React.
• Practical experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice design.
• SQL and Snowflake experience.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments and using CLI tools.
• A self-starter who can lead initiatives and own projects end-to-end.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), Helm, or observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with asynchronous processing, task queues, or job schedulers.
• Exposure to AI/ML integrations or legacy system modernization is a bonus.
