Senior Java Software Engineer - Contracting role

Stelfox is looking for a talented Senior Java Software Engineer for one of our clients based in Dublin.

6-month initial contract term, rolling / long-term contract

Competitive daily rate

Hybrid, with three days on-site and two days remote each week

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver web-based Java solutions aligned with business goals.
• Ensure software meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in refining user stories and translating them into technical tasks.
• Design, code, and implement robust and scalable solutions.
• Build and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Become proficient in development and testing best practices.
• Contribute to building best-in-class risk management solutions.

Skills required:

• Comprehensive knowledge of Java
• Experience building web applications and APIs using Java frameworks such as Spring
• Solid experience in Hadoop
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Good Linux/UNIX experience
