Staff Cloud Security Engineer

A world-leading technology company based in Cork that is looking for a Staff Cloud Security Engineer to join their team in Cork and significantly strengthen their security posture across a vast cloud ecosystem.

In this role, you'll be central to refining our security strategies, automating key processes, and proactively mitigating threats. This isn't just about maintenance; it's about pioneering. You'll expand the product roadmap, automate critical security functions, and provide proactive insights into emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate security into our SDLC.
• Develop and implement cloud security policies.
• Automate cloud resource management with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Contribute to security baselines and roadmaps.
• Partner on cloud account lifecycle and access management.
• Develop tools to streamline security operations.
• Design container security and orchestration.
• Implement SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM).

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field + 4 years cybersecurity experience, OR High school diploma + 5 years cybersecurity experience.
• Ability to transport/install 40 lbs.

Other Requirements:

• 5+ years programming experience (Python preferred).
• 3+ years in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, threat modeling, and offensive techniques.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile.
• Security certifications a plus.
