Due to continued growth, we are currently hiring an OCI Cloud Engineer to join our client in the utilities sector. Our consultancy specializes in providing business and technology services to clients in all sectors.

You will play a critical role in executing and supporting our IT Cloud strategy, enhancing agility, and managing infrastructure services within a cloud platform, responsible for ensuring the cloud infrastructure aligns with the business needs for stability, scalability, and availability.

A snapshot of your key responsibilities:

• Execute and support the IT Cloud strategy to meet business demands.
• Maintain and support cloud platform infrastructure, maintaining cloud and network environments to support business operations.
• Recommend and implement system enhancements and implement technical solutions.
• Configure, monitor and optimise cloud platform performance metrics.
• Adhere to change management processes, proactively monitoring cloud systems, resolving incidents and keeping stakeholders informed.
• Produce automation and operation artifacts.
• Support cloud deployments and implement changes.
• Suggest improvements for stability, performance, and security.
• Provide input on infrastructure and networking needs.
• Offer proactive recommendations and find effective workarounds for constraints.
• Provide out-of-hours support as needed.
  
  

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in Public/Private/Hybrid Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) configuration management.
• Proven ability to manage and resolve OCI platform support issues.
• Relevant industry standard cloud certification (e.g. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure cert.)
• Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills for complex cloud-related issues.
• Quick adaptability to new technologies and cloud services.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and internet protocols.
• Previous experience in a complex IT enterprise environment with a focus on cloud technologies.
