Cyber Technical Analyst | Canberra / Hybrid / Offsite / Remote | Citizens | Contract

Job Description:

The Department is seeking an eager Cyber Technical Analysts to join in high-performing and fast paced ICT cyber security team.

The applicant must have knowledge and experience in:

1. Writing and presenting security documentation.
2. Providing technical and non-technical advice to departmental programs in relation to security architecture best practices.
3. Experience in reviewing and providing guidance on application and system integration designs relating to PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight.
4. Raising awareness of security issues with technical and non-technical departmental staff.
5. Implementing Essential Eight in other Government agencies which includes technical uplift and guidance to a variety of stakeholders.
6. Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services.

Skills and capability

1. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
2. Has sound judgement and the ability to work under pressure with limited supervision to produce high quality outcomes.
3. Awareness of and ability to anticipate and communicate the impacts of security risks.
4. Ability to develop strong productive relationship, communication skills and issue resolution.
5. Ability to articulate and document technical security artifacts.

Essential criteria

1. Demonstrated experience in reviewing and providing guidance on application and system integration designs relating to PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight.

2. Demonstrated they have implemented Essential Eight in other Government/ agencies which includes technical uplift and guidance to a variety of stakeholders.

3. Demonstrated experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services, in particular around technical assessments.
