Lawyer Associate - Technology & Business Law

is seeking an Associate with this blend of expertise to spearhead their initiatives in the dynamic

digital economy and expansion of RO/CEE startups on international markets.

What You'll Lead On:

• Guide and oversee legal advisory in corporate and commercial law, further encompassing

subjects like blockchain technology, generative AI, tech transactions, web3 financing, internet

law, and cross-border M&As.

• Strategically draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents, ensuring compliance and

safeguarding client interests in corporate agreements, commercial contracts, and specialized

digital asset arrangements.

• Spearhead regulatory interpretations and strategies,[particularly in digital assets - MiCAR,

capital markets law, payments/financial institutions], offering unmatched analyses and client

support in the fintech/crypto or NFT arenas.

Your Credentials:

• Experience: 3 to 4 years post-bar admission, with a strong grounding (or demonstrable

interest) in Romanian corporate, finance and commercial law.

• Mandatory: Active membership with the Romanian bar. Dual-qualified lawyers will be given

special consideration.

• Proactivity and working independently on specific outputs are not mere words: we depend on

strong work ethics, time management, and respecting deadlines as the team will rely on you

(and you will rely on your team).

• Prior role in a law firm with a tech or corporate focus is highly desirable. Experience in startups

or with a national regulator will add significant weight.

• Familiarity with VC finance, startup financing, and an entrepreneurial mindset are seen as

valuable, though not strictly mandatory.

• Comprehensive grasp of internet law, IP, data privacy, and the intricacies of the web3

ecosystems.

• Demonstrated capability in legal problem-solving, leadership, and technical proficiency.

• Eagerness to pioneer legal strategies in evolving fields, especially where set precedents may

be scant.

• LLM in tech, finance, corporate or international law will distinctly benefit your application.

• Tech adaptability: Owing to our tech-centered ethos, comfort with project management tools

and diverse digital platforms (like CRMs, Asana, Excel, generative AI, distributed ledger

applications) is a must.

• Fully Proficient in English and Romanian. Additional European languages (German, French,

Italian, Spanish, Polish) will be considered a notable advantage.
