Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

Job Description

What will you do?

As a UI/UX Designer, you will work closely with senior designers, product managers, and developers to design interfaces and user experiences for our digital products. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.

• Assist in designing intuitive, user-centered interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Support UX research efforts, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
• Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Work with the development team to ensure the implementation matches design specs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and business goals.
• Maintain and evolve our design system and visual style guidelines.
• Present thoughtful solutions to the design and product teams, articulating your design rationale effectively.
• Promote the use of a design system amongst designers, developers and other participants.
• Ensure all designs adhere to RBC’s accessibility guidelines, creating accessible experiences for all RBC employees.
• Learn, adapt and introduce new design methodologies, tools, and trends.
  
  

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

• BA/BS degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or a related field or equivalent practical experience
• Basic understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals, responsive design and design systems.
• Experience in designing interfaces across web and mobile apps.
• A portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Figma
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating great user experiences.
  
  

Nice-to-have:

• Experience working on internal tools or enterprise-level products.
• Experience working with design systems.
• Experience with branding
• Experience with UX writing or copywriting.
