Product Owner, Cofounder, Conversion Expert @ Mental Health Startup

We are in search of Business Cofounder, Product Manager, IT entrepreneur, who would be able to dedicate at least 15 hours per week. We want someone keen on being more than just a freelancer – we want a genuine co-founder for our mental wellbeing app. The cash we are currently able to pay is very limited, but as we are organized as a founder collective, you can earn ownership in the same way as every other founder of the company.

🌐 CO-FOUNDER

As a cofounder you become a co-owner and you get the same deal as every other cofounder. You get ownership of the company in proportion to you work contribution and you get part of the limited cash. As the company is not profitable yet, most of the cofounders work part-time, and get no or a limited compensation in cash.

A decade ago, we established a dating platform centered around IQ and personality test matches. We departed from the project 8 years ago after a 2-year journey. However, we've recently re-acquired the venture, transforming it into a peer-to-peer conversation therapy platform, where 80% of the users come to take one of our psychometric tests and then join communities centre on common problems such as toxic relationships, divorce, PTSD from war, etc.. Within the last 4 months, we've attracted over 80,000 new registrations.

Our founding team boasts psychologists, engineers, designers, and marketers. However, we are on the hunt for a product manager. Collaborate with an eclectic team, including ex-Google, ex-Cisco, ex-consulting personnel and startup professionals from nations like Canada, USA, Finland, Germany, Argentina, and Brazil.

Our structure operates as a founder cooperative. This means more than 15 founders collaboratively own our Delaware C-Corp, with ownership distributed based on individual contributions. 📬 WHAT YOU WILL DO

You are taking on my role, so that I no longer have to work 65 hours per week and that we together can get more done with better quality. That means you would be involved in

Potential tasks include:

• Manual Testing, Quality Assurance (15%)
• test the product manually, by using it as normal user
• put feedback to developers and designers
• Product Management (70%)
• discuss which requirements are the most important and urgent
• make wireframes and work with designers
• working with content editors to improve content
• Conversion optimization
• Technical Project Management (15%)
• participate in the tech meetings
• create Gantt char

REQUIREMENTS

For this position we mainly require three general characteristics:

• product management experience of IT products
• very high intelligence
• very high auto-motivation
• reliability
• great communication skills, to motivate team members and to remind them of the deadline in a soft way.

In addition, if you had experience in entrepreneurship in an online business this would be great.

💲 TIME COMMITMENT & COMPENSATIONS

Like many of our founders, you have the luxury of part-time, remote work, starting from a mere 15 hours weekly. Your compensation mirrors that of other co-founders: a blend of cash and equity. Total compensation is derived from multiplying your hourly rate with hours worked. The flexibility exists to split your compensation between cash and equity. Presently, we disintentive cash compensation by a factor of 5 and incentive cash compensation by a factor of 2.5. For example, if you were to earn 50 USD per hours you could decide to get it paid 100% in cash for only 10 USD (50 divided by 5) or 100% in equity for 125 USD (50 multiplied by 2.5). For this position we think the hourly should be between 45 and 90 USD depending on your experience.

This means that the cash you could receive is very limited, which is why we only expect you to dedicate 15 hours per week and have other sourced of income.
