About Us

We’re an early-stage startup on a mission to [insert mission or product goal—e.g., “redefine how companies use data to make real-time decisions”]. As we scale our cloud-native platform, we're looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer with deep Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience to help us build, secure, and scale our infrastructure for reliability and performance.


About the Role

As our Cloud DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure that powers our platform. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and security teams to automate deployment pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and implement best-in-class DevOps practices. This is a hands-on role where you'll have ownership and a direct impact from day one.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable delivery.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or equivalent.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to define deployment processes, manage secrets, and streamline release cycles.
  • Implement and maintain observability tooling for logging, metrics, and alerting (e.g., Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver).
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and manage IAM policies.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for system outages.


Required Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of DevOps or cloud infrastructure experience, with strong hands-on experience in GCP.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Deployment Manager).
  • Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE preferred).
  • Familiarity with networking, DNS, load balancing, and cloud storage.
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation in a production environment.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.


Nice to Have

  • GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments or hybrid infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with security tools and practices (e.g., vulnerability scanning, secrets management).
  • Background in supporting data platforms, APIs, or event-driven systems.
