Software Tester

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester / UAT Specialist to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products through comprehensive functional and user acceptance testing (UAT). This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, development teams, and QA professionals to validate that systems meet both business requirements and user expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts for enterprise software applications and portals.
• Perform functional testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) in alignment with project timelines.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using defect management tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with business users to define real-world UAT scenarios and ensure usability and functional coverage.
• Conduct cross-platform and cross-device testing to verify compatibility across various systems.
• Work closely with developers and product teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
• Provide detailed test progress reports, including test coverage, defect metrics, and recommendations for improvement.
• Support post-release validation and assist with troubleshooting production issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing and UAT execution.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC, and agile processes.
• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
• Experience in UI/UX, functional, and front-end testing.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with developers, QA teams, and business users.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to test both web and mobile applications across various environments.
• Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured is desirable.
