Presales Senior Manager

This role is responsible to grow Vodafone’s share in the Enterprise market by leading and mentoring a team of Presales Managers and Engineers to provide repeatable, serviceable Enterprise solutions through designing and delivering complex, bespoke fixed and mobile Enterprise Products for Vodafone customers in Large Enterprise, Public Sector, Fixed Wholesale and SME sector. The person in the role is expected to provide technical consultancy to Sales and cross functional to close new deals and bring top line of QAR XX mn. Additionally, the person on the role is to support and provide direction to their team for complex and bespoke solutions. The role holder will also align with internal stakeholders, senior management on RFPs/tenders to maximize Vodafone winning chances.

Impact on the business

  • Lead and manage the Presales function and overseeing Enterprise product and solution demonstrations, presentations, workshops with Enterprise customers
  • Perform Business Process Improvement using various business consulting tools and methodologies.
  • Manage Presales workload and distribute among team members. Lead, support, guide Presales team members throughout the customer acquisition process to ensure more wins. 
  • Work with the sales leadership team to conceptualize new business opportunities that lead to new lines of revenue generation
  • Present and align with senior leadership team on complex and bespoke solution strategies
  • Ensure teams analyse the customer’s business, applications and converting the business needs into viable business and technical requirement. Support internal teams in budget preparation and new hiring in Presale’s function.
  • Lead and direct Presales team to create a compelling value proposition for Enterprise products & solutions across verticals by architecting solutions, structuring deals, and strategic consulting. Lead client workshops to collaborate with client employees and internal stakeholders. 
  • Ensure a quality and excellent business proposals, flawless SoW, and Proof of Concepts. Keep oneself updated on changing business needs, regulatory requirements, new domain trends, tools, and products
  • Driving Enterprise sales to deliver first-rate technical solutions to Enterprise customers. Review generic processes and developing radical, innovative Enterprise propositions that differentiate Vodafone and disadvantage its competitors
  • Develop solution strategies with Marketing and Sales heads to identify and develop solution to winning Enterprise projects during customer acquisition phase which are disruptive and differentiate Vodafone from its competitors.
  • Leading and driving efficiency in the sales engagement process by identifying reusable solution components across the customer base and driving innovation in proposition development and planning.
  • Liaise with the Enterprise teams in EBU as part of a matrix management structure, ensuring the Enterprise objectives are aligned and delivered through the delivery of successful customer projects in a timely manner.


Leadership and teamwork

  • Brief Vodafone SLT members on Enterprise bids that require their approval, ensuring that the risks and rewards offered by the bids are clearly understood. 
  • Act as role model in Sales, Technical and Service management, and leadership and demonstrate best practice in analytical decision-making and communication of recommendations.
  • Challenge current Vodafone practice, where this is in the best interests of the Group work with passion and conviction.
  • Support and groom the team on stakeholder management be it internal or external, best practices to make them effective in their day-to-day work


Innovation and change

  • Transform the effectiveness and efficiency of Vodafone’s Enterprise solution and proposition, through organizational innovations (such as new ways of working, offshoring and delegating authorities). Automation such as Solution development and utilising partnerships.
  • Be a key stakeholder in enterprise partnerships. Work with Enterprise Marketing/Products/Projects teams to bring Vodafone Groups delivery best practices to Vodafone Qatar.
  • Extend Vodafone Qatar’s Enterprise Products and Services to Global Market. Also working with Enterprise Marketing to bring Vodafone Groups best practices to Vodafone Qatar and ensure full product, technical and service support for complete Business Solution.
  • Performs related tasks consistent with skills and abilities and general responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.
