Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Data Scientist for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. The client is a modern mental health care company focused on providing accessible, high-quality therapy services for individuals, couples, and families through both in-person and virtual sessions. The company boasts a carefully vetted network of therapists with a diverse range of backgrounds, specialties, and languages to meet the needs of a wide variety of clients. It serves over 33 million covered lives across seven states and is expanding its network to all 50 states.

The team requires a candidate who can design and develop new machine learning models for supply and demand forecasting. The candidate should be able to work independently with the business partners and provide thought leadership to drive innovation. This role requires a strong blend of data science modeling, domain expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, pod model.

Tech Stack: dbt, Redshift, Glue, Hex, Tableau, Vertex AI.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production.
  • Hands-on experience with time series forecasting frameworks (e.g., Prophet, ARIMA, DeepAR, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of Python and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Knowledge of SQL and some familiarity with dbt for data transformations.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI).
  • Experience in machine learning/data engineering.
  • Prior experience in logistics, e-commerce, healthcare, or manufacturing where supply-demand dynamics are central.

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize machine learning models for supply and demand forecasting.
  • Design robust time series, probabilistic, and deep learning-based forecasting models.
  • Own the full lifecycle of modeling from testing, training, to deployment to production.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to build and maintain scalable pipelines for data ingestion, feature generation, and inference.
  • Ensure data quality and governance best practices are consistently applied across training and production environments.
  • Partner closely with Operations and Engineering teams to integrate forecasting models into production reporting.
  • Communicate technical results and modeling decisions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
