About This Role

The Partner Catalogue Management team creates the microsites that Restaurant Partners use to manage their menus. From simple things like editing a dish’s description and whether the dish is temporarily unavailable; to more complex areas such as adding imagery for dishes and automatically checking menus for policy violations. You get to work on a range of front-end and backend components and to collaborate with multiple teams across the company to solve complex problems and implement best practice solutions.

Joining us as a Senior Engineer, you will be a key member of the team and will be delivering highly scalable services leveraging the latest paradigms and architecture patterns. You will collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to help realise the requirements and steer our roadmap, challenge and offer technical decisions with a pragmatic mindset, and constantly improve both your team and yourself.

We don’t divide responsibility for development and operation of our platform, so you and your team will support the changes you make all the way through to operating successfully in production at peak times.

Role

Our product development teams are growing because we have a huge number of ideas of how to improve the experience customers and restaurants have. As an Engineer you will need to play a key role in turning those ideas into reality:

• Track the progress that you are making towards the wider goals of your team, and transparently communicate that progress to your team and Technology Manager.
• Keep to the processes, standards and designs that your team has agreed.
• Ensure you and others continuously improve by proposing and then implementing new processes, designs and engineering practices that make your team more effective.
• Contribute to the definition of product features, including in workshops with other product development teams.
• Communicate the technical work of your team to other product development teams
• Take responsibility for supporting your changes all the way through to proving they work well – and continue to work well – in production.
  
  

What will you bring to the table?

• Strong Experience with Typescript and Vue.js (this role is ~70% frontend focused)
• Backend engineering experience, with a strong preference for C#
• Event-driven architecture knowledge and a good understanding of architecture and principles
• Amazon Web Services or similar e.g Azure, Google Cloud (Object storage, Message buses, compute infrastructure load balancing)
• On call experience including monitoring and alerting
• Experience with agile processes and team structures
