Job summary
We are seeking a talented Senior Android Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. Your primary focus will be on the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will work alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs.
- Conduct unit-testing and code reviews to ensure robustness, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Ensure application functionality across various Android versions and device types.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven Android development experience with published applications on the Google Play Store.
- Proficient in Kotlin (Mandatory)and Java for Android development.
- Familiarity with Android SDK and the use of various APIs.
- Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Knowledge of Git or similar version control tools.
- Familiarity with Android Studio and continuous integration.
- Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Firebase, Room Database, MVVM architecture, or Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes.
- Experience with unit testing and/or test-driven development.
