Java Solution Architect

Qualifications:

Masters/Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering related courses

Roles and Responsibilities.

• Create solution architecture designs highlighting options, to guide the squads

• Ensure alignment with the high-level architecture and/or reference architecture and/or applicable standards

• Is responsible for the refinement in a detailed design with sufficient granularity for the development team to implement

• Work under guidance of the domain and enterprise architects

• Collaborate with and guide engineers in the squads in the domain to implement the approved solution architecture

• Passionate about technology, having a strong interest and vision in recent trends in software development and technology in general and the ability to transfer this knowledge back to team

• Analytical (understanding complexity and think from the impact point of view not just solving the problem directly)

• Having a focus on quality and challenge your colleagues to grow – coding standards and peer code review

• Able to speak up and challenge decisions (you ask why things are done instead of just doing them)

• Having a collaborative workstyle with focus on achieving goals by helping others to be successful

• Working on continuous improvements on business applications and infrastructure as well as on monitoring & alerting in the REST API’s Ecosystem

• Knowledgeable on Build & deployment processes (Azure DevOps)

• having excellent communication skills, can communicate in both business and technical language

• Able to Mentoring/guiding more junior engineers

• Understanding how your application fits into the entire chain of which it is part.

Candidate must have the below technical skills:

• Experience with Java 11 or above

• Experience with Apache Kafka and containerization technology.

Understanding messaging platforms (i.e. Kafka, XFB, EMS, ActiveMQ and/or IBM MQ)

• Experience with monitoring and alerting (Prometheus/Grafana), Elastic search

• Experience with containers (Docker, K8S or OpenShift)

• Experience with handling concurrency in high load application

• Oracle RDBMS knowledge – optimising performance and queries.

• Spring core, Spring boot API, Spring Batch, AOP knowledge

• Experience with (performance) monitoring and/or debugging and/or application troubleshooting

• Knowledgeable of controlling IT-Risk and Security Standards in banking

industry.

Identifying, diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving production issues by using a

range of monitoring, test and alerting tools (Configuration, change, incident and problem

Management)
