AI Engineer

Nexeo Belgium is looking for an AI Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team of experts pushing the boundaries of innovation through cutting-edge AI solutions.

As an AI Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and integration of intelligent solutions leveraging technologies like GPT, Azure AI Services, and other state-of-the-art tools. You will work in co-creation with business and technical teams to deliver impactful AI use cases that respond to real-world challenges.

As an AI Engineer, you will:

• Design and implement end-to-end AI use cases using modern cloud and AI architectures
• Rapidly prototype and deliver AI-to-UX experiences for real users
• Engineer optimized prompts to improve performance and relevance of generative models
• Develop and integrate solutions based on Azure OpenAI and complementary services
• Collaborate with product and business teams to define impactful AI use cases
• Integrate Azure AI services with existing systems and platforms
• Write clear and structured documentation of code, logic, and workflows
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and best practice sessions
• Maintain a strong focus on DevOps practices, API development, and performance
• Stay on top of the latest developments in AI and machine learning through continuous learning and experimentation
• Educate technical and non-technical stakeholders on generative AI capabilities and value

Your profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Proven experience working on AI projects, particularly with OpenAI models and LLMs
• Hands-on knowledge of prompt engineering, agentic architectures, and OpenAI SDKs
• Experience in Python, RESTful API development, and cloud integration (Azure Functions, SQL databases, etc.)
• Familiarity with BI processes, ETL/ELT, and data-driven architecture
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and take initiative
