Mission Context
You will be part of the Centre of Expertise (CoE) Data Governance, specifically within the Data Privacy & Regulatory (DPR) squad. This team supports in its compliance with privacy regulations and data governance standards by delivering expertise in risk assessment, compliance, and advisory services. Working within one of Belgium’s most advanced data governance programs, you will play a key role in enabling the digital transformation of the bank.
Function Description
As a Junior Data Analyst – Data Privacy & Regulatory, you will contribute to data privacy compliance and risk management activities. Your responsibilities will span from data protection assessments to advisory support, incident management, and awareness efforts across.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) on projects, outsourcing cases, and change initiatives.
- Identify DPR-related risks and propose suitable mitigation measures.
- Ensure structured risk reporting aligned.
- Provide advisory and consultancy services on data privacy and regulatory compliance.
- Manage and respond to data subject rights requests.
- Support the handling of personal data breach incidents.
- Contribute to internal training, communication, and awareness campaigns on privacy topics.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Marketing, Economics, Communication, or related fields.
- A strong interest or proven experience in data governance, privacy/security, data analytics, or reporting/BI is highly valued.
Required Experience and Skills
Technical Experience – Mandatory:
- Solid understanding of data privacy and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong development and analytical skills.
Business Experience – Mandatory:
- Practical experience or internship as a Data Analyst or in a data governance environment.
Soft Skills:
- Strong team player with a proactive and self-starting attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinker with synthesis and problem-solving capabilities.
