We’re now looking for an Information Security Manager to help protect our business and build resilience against cyber threats across both IT and OT environments. Location is flexible but preferably based in the Nordic countries or the United States.

About The Position

As the Information Security Manager for the Special Steels Division, you will play a key role in strengthening our global cybersecurity posture. You’ll work across teams and borders to ensure our systems are secure, resilient, and future-ready.

You’ll collaborate closely with divisional IT and OT teams, SSAB’s Corporate Information Security Officer, and peers across other divisions to align with our corporate security vision and foster a culture of shared responsibility.

This role includes some travel and reports to the Head of IT for Special Steels. You’ll also be part of the divisional IT Management Team.

Selections will be made on an ongoing basis throughout the summer.

• Leading information security initiatives across both IT and OT environments.
• Promoting security and privacy by design in our architecture and systems.
• Bringing innovative ideas and forward-thinking solutions to enhance our security.
• Building strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.
  
  

About You

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about cybersecurity and thrives in a collaborative, multicultural environment. You’re curious, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.

• You likely have:
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience in information and cyber security operations and governance.
• Hands-on experience in network, security tools, cloud security, OT, and application security
• Knowledgeable with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• A structured, analytical mindset with a passion for building inclusive and effective teams.
• Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
• Security testing and vulnerability analysis
• Cloud architecture and security (e.g., AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
• Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
• Internet of Things (IoT) security
• Relevant certifications in information or cyber security
