Job Title: Cloud Deployment Engineer

Location: 1 Day per month in Limerick

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Cloud Deployment Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in system administration and a passion for cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in deploying cloud solutions (preferably AWS), working directly with customers to improve deployment processes, and collaborating closely with our Cloud Automation and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud deployment pipelines across various cloud providers (AWS preferred).
• Collaborate with customers to understand deployment requirements and optimize deployment strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within our deployment processes.
• Work closely with Cloud Automation and SRE teams to ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of our cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across deployment pipelines and infrastructure components.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Contribute to DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD, monitoring, and automation.
• Maintain and administer systems across Windows and Linux environments.
• Manage and support SQL environments in the context of cloud deployment.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

• Experience deploying solutions in any major cloud provider (AWS experience highly preferred).
• Proven experience in improving and managing deployment processes.
• Strong background in cross-functional collaboration.
• System administration experience across Windows and Linux platforms.
• Solid experience with SQL (administration, scripting, troubleshooting).
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and/or Python.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD, containers, infrastructure as code, monitoring/logging).
• Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS DevOps Engineer, or equivalent.
