My client is seeking an experienced Information Security Project Manager to join its Cyber Security Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the planning, coordination, testing, and continuous improvement of DR and BCM strategies across the Group and its Operating Companies.


You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and managed service partners to enhance organisational resilience, ensuring critical IT services and operations are prepared for disruption and recovery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Manage all Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity initiatives across Group IT from scoping through to execution and post-analysis.
  • Develop and maintain program timelines, governance frameworks, and milestone tracking for DR/BCM readiness across multiple business units and vendors.
  • Coordinate and lead DR/BCM tests for both on-premise and cloud environments (Azure), ensuring detailed reporting and follow-up actions.
  • Create, maintain, and regularly update all critical documentation including Business Impact Assessments (BIA), Risk Impact Assessments (RIA), and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
  • Own the DR/BCM improvement plan, capturing lessons learned and implementing corrective actions across projects and BAU operations.
  • Engage key business stakeholders and 3rd-party service providers to ensure SLAs are aligned with DR/BCM requirements and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the IT Risk Manager to prioritise remediation of critical risks and ensure alignment with CIÉ’s overall risk governance model.
  • Act as the DR/BCM representative for cross-organisation projects, steering group activities, and vendor negotiations.
  • Provide guidance and oversight during major incidents where recovery coordination is required.


Requirements:


  • Proven Project Management experience (5+ years) delivering IT continuity, risk, or security-related projects in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong understanding of cloud (preferably Azure), on-premise infrastructure, and enterprise application landscapes.
  • Experience with Security frameworks such as ISO 27001 NIST with a preference to ISO 22301.
  • Analytical and structured approach to problem-solving, with a focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification is an advantage.
  • ITIL, ISO 22301, CBCP, or similar DR/BCM certifications
  • Familiarity with regulated or public sector environments is a nice to have.
