Capital Project Manager

Job Title: Capital Project Manager – Medical Manufacturing

Location: Galway

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Capital Project Manager to oversee and deliver capital projects within our regulated medical manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring that facility and equipment projects are executed effectively, meet compliance requirements, and support our operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full lifecycle of capital projects including facility builds, utilities upgrades, and equipment installation.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Manufacturing, QA, Procurement, and EHS, as well as external contractors and engineering partners.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project timeline.
• Ensure all projects meet regulatory standards including FDA, ISO 13485, and cGMP requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including design files, validation protocols, and final reports.
• Support environmental, health, and safety compliance across all project activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), Construction, or related field preferred.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing capital projects in a regulated manufacturing setting (medical devices, pharma, or biotech).
• Experience with cleanroom environments, utilities systems, and process equipment installation.
• Familiarity with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and GMP practices.
• Strong planning and organisational skills; proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, and ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
