Principal Software Engineer

Grade SNSW 11/12,Ongoing

Sydney CBD location, open to flexible working location across NSW and hybrid work options available.
This role sits within the SNSW Digitial Identity & Verifiable Credentials Division in the Verifiable Credentials Engineering team

At Service NSW Digital, we're building technology that makes a real difference to the lives of over 8 million people. We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, and innovative digital products.

Your day-to-day
- Leading architectural decisions and hands-on development for mobile app solution as well as cloud-based solutions.
- Mentoring engineers across all levels and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Driving innovation and solving complex technical challenges across multiple teams.
- Ensuring security best practices using tools like Snyk, Prisma, and Fortify.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
You're a strategic thinker and experienced engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring:
- 10+ years in ICT product deployment and management.
- 7+ years with technologies such as TypeScript, React Native, Kotlin, Node.js, and Apigee.
- Proven experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience on pair programming, TDD, and CI/CD pipeline.
- A passion for mentoring and leading diverse engineering teams.

Salary Grade SNSW 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $157,596 base plus superannuation
