We’re seeking a hands-on Full Stack AI Platform Engineer to take ownership of delivering robust software components from backend APIs and AI pipelines to front-end interfaces. You'll work closely with our AI & Digital Transformation lead, alongside a team of engineers, architects, and designers.

This is a software engineering role – not research or prototyping. It's ideal for someone who thrives on turning ideas into real, secure, scalable systems.

What you’ll do

AI System Implementation

• Build and maintain AI pipelines: document ingestion, chunking, embedding, and RAG workflows using Python (FastAPI preferred)
• Integrate with OpenAI / Azure OpenAI APIs, or open-source LLMs
• Implement vector search tools such as FAISS, Qdrant, or Azure AI Search
• Build APIs for intelligent agent interaction and content access

Full-Stack Web Engineering

• Develop frontend dashboards, portals, and admin tools using React or Next.js
• Implement secure OAuth2 authentication with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Deliver multi-tenant architecture, RBAC, and content access layers
• Ensure UI/UX usability in the absence of a dedicated designer during early stages

Platform Delivery

• Collaborate with Cloud DevOps Engineers to deploy in Azure using Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to system architecture decisions with a focus on scalability and performance
• Work with Git and agile processes to manage releases and iterations
• Write and maintain production-grade, well-documented code

What we’re looking for

Essential

• Proven experience as a full-stack engineer with Python (FastAPI) or Node.js
• Hands-on development of AI features such as chunking, embeddings, LLM integration, or RAG pipelines
• Solid frontend experience with React or Next.js
• Strong understanding of vector databases like FAISS, Qdrant, or Azure AI Search
• Proficient in OAuth2 and Azure AD authentication flows
• Experience deploying to Azure using Docker
• Ability to take initiative and communicate effectively in a team setting

Desirable

• Exposure to Azure services including Blob Storage, App Services, Key Vault, and AI Studio
• Experience in higher education, research, or compliance-driven environments
• Familiarity with conversational AI, chat interfaces, and agent frameworks
