Senior Backend Java Developer / Fintech / €90.000 / Hybrid (1 day) / Berlin


Role: Senior Java Developer (Java/Spring Boot)

Salary: up to €90.000

Remote working policy: Fully remote but you must be based in Germany, or hybrid from Berlin

Stack: Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Kotlin, Microservices, Hibernate, Maven, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQL, REST, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Google Cloud Platform (or AWS/Azure).

What you’ll do

  • Design and scale Java/Kotlin microservices using Spring Boot
  • Build distributed, event-based systems with RabbitMQ and Kafka
  • Develop high-throughput APIs for trading and payment flows
  • Use Hibernate for ORM and optimise PostgreSQL/MongoDB for low-latency performance
  • Manage builds and deployments via Maven, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Apply modern DevOps practices: CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), observability (Prometheus/Grafana), cost-aware cloud automation

Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Kotlin, Microservices, Hibernate, Maven, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQL, REST, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, CI/CD, Google Cloud Platform (or AWS/Azure)


Nice to have

  • Experience with high-frequency or low-latency trading platforms
  • CQRS and Event Sourcing
  • Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana
