Machine Learning Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, test, and deploy machine learning models in production.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to define and implement ML use cases.
• Design scalable data pipelines and model serving infrastructure.
• Analyze model performance and improve accuracy, efficiency, and robustness.
• Document workflows, models, and experiments for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven freelance or professional experience as an ML Engineer (3+ years).
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with end-to-end ML workflows, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid knowledge of software engineering principles (version control, CI/CD, unit testing).
• Experience with MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker) is a plus.
• Based in Berlin or willing to work with significant overlap in CET.

Nice to Have

• Background in [domain-specific expertise, e.g., NLP, computer vision, recommender systems].
• Experience integrating ML into web or mobile applications.
• Familiarity with German data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, DSGVO).
• German language skills are a plus but not required.
