Frontend Developer

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Front-End Software Developer to join a dynamic Digital & Technology team on a 6-month day rate contract. This is a hybrid role, based in central Dublin, offering a mix of office collaboration and remote flexibility.

About the Role

As a Front-End Developer, you will be at the forefront of crafting engaging digital experiences that enhance the user journey across web platforms. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including Product Owners, UX/UI designers, QA professionals, and business stakeholders—to bring innovative, customer-centric solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of digital customer and advisor journeys.
• Participate in strategic planning, scoping, and sizing of features.
• Conduct critical analysis and peer code reviews.
• Represent the development team in solution workshops.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Challenge existing standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.

Required Experience & Skills

• 6+ years in full-stack development, with a strong emphasis on React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, especially React.js.
• Familiarity with state management and component-based styling libraries such as Chakra UI.
• Strong proficiency in building RESTful APIs and handling JSON data structures.
• Deep understanding of UX principles, including user-centered design and design thinking.
• Strong collaboration skills within agile, multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to deliver reusable, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience with Azure cloud services and scalable architecture.
• Knowledge of C#, .NET, or SQL Server.
