Back-End Blockchain Engineer | Amsterdam (Hybrid)

Working with a global leader in proprietary trading, and who are expanding their Digital Assets Technology team in Amsterdam. We're looking for an experienced Back-End Blockchain Engineer to innovate and scale decentralized trading systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Build low-latency, scalable systems for DEX trading
• Architect high-performance infrastructure for real-time DeFi markets
• Develop smart contracts, indexers, and market-making bots
• Create robust APIs and integrate with liquidity pools and DEXs
• Design event-driven microservices to process blockchain transactions in real time
• Collaborate with traders, quants, and fellow engineers to push the boundaries of on-chain trading
• Bring blockchain best practices and deep protocol knowledge to the team

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in Python, Rust, Go, or Java
• Deep knowledge of blockchain tech, consensus mechanisms, and Web3
• Hands-on experience with DeFi protocols and smart contract development (Solidity and/or Rust)
• Strong background in scalable back-end systems (microservices, event-driven architectures)
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, and WebSockets
• Bonus points for experience with MEV strategies, on-chain data tools, and low-latency trading systems
