We are looking for a System and Software Engineer (E3) to join our Akkodis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands.

Specific tasks to be performed:
The postholder will support the section activities in the areas of Space Segment Systems Engineering:
- Providing space segment systems engineering support and consultancy to ESA projects, programmes and studies throughout all the project phases;
- Supporting project reviews and evaluation of proposals;
- Supporting design devlopement, technical budgets, requirements management, verification activities, interfaces management;
- Support coordination of engineering domains in support to the system engineering function;
- Support CDF studies as System engineer as required
To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background / experience is required:
- Master degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or physics.
- Solid background in spacecraft systems and space mission architecture design;
- Significant experience in systems engineering, mission analysis and design, design methodologies;
- Expert knowledge of S/C system and mission design, incl. system design modelling tools and Concurrent Engineering applied to space mission assessment and design.
- Knowledge of System of Systems (SoS) architecting and related tools (such as System Architect, Focal Point, etc.) and frameworks (e.g. MODAF, TOGAF).
- Strong experience with Space project life-cycle, including mission/system conceptual design and trade-offs, requirements management, reviews, verification engineering;
- Knowledge of Space Engineering Standards (e.g. ECSS-E-10 series);
- Ability to work independently and to establish good working relations with ESA is essential.
