Software Test Engineer

Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) has a consulting assignment available for an In-Vehicle Software testing for one of our automotive clients in Södertälje.

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing of software functions on target hardware, primarily in test rigs and in-vehicle environments.
• Flash ECUs using proprietary or standardized tools (e.g., Canoe, DLT, FlashStation).
• Verify successful software updates and conduct smoke/regression tests after flashing.
• Log defects, anomalies, and performance deviations using test management and defect tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers and system owners to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
• Maintain and update test procedures, checklists, and documentation.

Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in manual software testing in the automotive domain.
• Hands-on experience with ECU flashing tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with CAN communication and relevant tools (e.g., Vector CANoe, CANalyzer).
• Understanding of embedded systems and software version management.
• Comfortable working in in-vehicle environments during development and test phases.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus.
• C License is a plus

All engineers must be currently living in Sweden - other wise you will not be considered for this role. The project is also 100% on site in Södertälje due to natural of the assignment being focused around manual testing.
