Senior Researcher within automation and robotics

Description: We are now looking for a Senior Researcher within automation and robotics

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support implementations of new technologies and abilities into our plants

• Build knowledge and competence in selected areas, to transfer back to the organization.

• Cooperate and support in the dialogue with internal and external stakeholders.

• Lead research and development projects

• Contribute to the development of the future/long-term manufacturing research roadmaps.

• Support technology and D&IT networks and with implementation and technical skills

As a senior researcher you will collaborate with highly talented teams. The research and development will be carried out in close cooperation with plants within Volvo and with external partners.

Skills, Experience, and mindset

• PhD in robotics and automation or similar experience

• Experience in implementing real automation and robotic systems in industry as well as long programming experience of both embedded systems and cloud systems.

• Expert in programming in rust and python

• Experience in implementing real world machine learning industrial applications

• You have a strong drive, energy level and ability to manage different business topics.

• You have an interest in emerging technologies and are curious to explore.
