As a Staff Android Engineer in the Calling team, you will drive the technical direction and execution of our Android platform, playing a pivotal role in the exploration, development, and implementation of new solutions. The ideal candidate is deeply technical, passionate about building great user experiences, and committed to delivering value.

What do we expect from you:

• 5+ years of total engineering experience, with at least 2 years as a senior or staff engineer
• Strong commitment to improving user experience through exceptional engineering
• Deep technical knowledge of Android development, including the Android SDK
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Coroutines, and Dependency Injection
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Excellent communication skills, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  
  

What will you work on:

• Lead technical decisions, ensuring we build high-quality, scalable Android applications
• Participate actively in product prioritization discussions, providing clear and thoughtful technical insights
• Architect, develop, and maintain robust Android solutions, emphasizing performance and usability
• Communicate complex technical decisions clearly and effectively
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, translating requirements into technical deliverables
• Stay current with emerging Android technologies, tools, and best practices, integrating relevant innovations into the team's workflow
• Actively contribute to coding, maintaining a hands-on approach in delivering robust solutions
• Establish relationships and drive alignment within the team, and with external teams (when necessary).
  
  

It would be great if you also have:

• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices as well as an eye for design
• Experience as an Architect
