Minimum qualifications:

  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
  • 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of privacy, consumer protection, antitrust, contract, content moderation/safety, or IP law issues in a technology context.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice to the company, including the management teams, legal teams, marketing, business development, advertising sales and other business departments in Turkiye, throughout EMEA and the US.
  • Respond promptly and reliably to internal and external requests for advice, specifically with regards to regulatory inquiries, contracts, commercial regulations, litigation, IP, data protection, advertising and consumer protection.
  • Manage pre-contentious and contentious matters (including private litigation and governmental investigations) and coordinate our working relationship with external law firms.
  • Draft, negotiate and adapt under local law a wide variety of commercial agreements, including license and partnership agreements.
