System Engineer

My client is looking for a skilled Linux / AWS / Red Hat Engineer to join their growing team in Norway (Full Remote). You’ll play a key role in designing, maintaining, and evolving secure and scalable infrastructure for mission-critical systems.

Your Role:

• Manage and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) in production environments
• Design and deploy infrastructure on AWS using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
• Implement automation using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability and security
• Work with container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes
• Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment pipelines and operational processes

Requirements:

• Several years of experience in Linux system administration
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Experience with Red Hat technologies and certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE) is a strong plus
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools
• Fluent in English (Norwegian is a plus)
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
