We are searching for a Data Platform Developer to join an established data & analytics team in Oslo building a modern data platform on cloud


You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that enables robust data pipelines and high-performance analytics. You’ll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and DevOps to ensure our data platform is efficient, reliable, and ready to scale.


Your day-to-day can involve:


  • Develop and maintain core components of our data platform (data lake, data warehouse, ETL frameworks).
  • Design and implement scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines using modern cloud-based tools.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and quality checks for data pipelines.
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance are built into the platform from day one.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver appropriate platform capabilities.
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to improve platform performance and developer experience.


We are looking for you to have:


  • Proven experience developing or supporting data platforms in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Airflow, dbt, Kafka).
  • Solid programming skills in Python/SQL
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with modern data storage solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerised data services.
  • Background in observability or platform reliability engineering.
  • Knowledge of data mesh or modern data platform principles.
