Skillsearch are working with a mobile game studio in Calgary, Alberta, dedicated to making games players can’t put down. Their team is made up of seasoned industry pros behind some of the world’s most popular mobile hits, played by millions worldwide.

What You’ll Do

🎮 Gameplay & Features

• Develop polished C++ code for core systems and features.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers.
• Lead large gameplay features and iterate for fun and performance.
• Optimize for mobile devices (FPS, load times, crashes).

🛠️ Engine & Tools

• Build internal tools and modular systems.
• Solve tough technical challenges and improve workflows.
• Maintain engine performance and stability.

👥 Team & Mentorship

• Write clean, test-driven code and review others.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge.
• Push for innovation and quality.

📚 Learn & Evolve

• Stay current with modern C++ and best practices.
• Communicate clearly and adapt to feedback.

What We’re Looking For

💼 Core Skills

• 10+ years in C++, 3+ in mobile (iOS/Android).
• Modern C++ (C++20+), engine architecture, performance tuning.
• Multi-threading, async, and systems-level expertise.
• Passion for games across platforms.

🚀 Bonus XP

• Shipped games or live ops experience.
• Graphics, scripting, tools, CI/CD, mobile debugging.
• UI/UX animation or open-source contributions

🎯 Soft Skills

• Great communicator and mentor.
• Curious, humble, proactive, and team-oriented.

This position is on-site, 5 days a week in Calgary. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate.
