Software Engineer, Go (Golang) - AI Training (Freelance, Remote)

Alignerr.com is a community of subject matter experts from several disciplines who align AI models by creating high-quality data in their field of expertise to build the future of Generative AI. Alignerr is operated by Labelbox, a leading data-centric AI platform for building intelligent applications. The role involves shaping the future of AI by using Go (Golang) to help train AI models to write performant, idiomatic Go code. Responsibilities include reviewing and assessing AI-generated Go code, writing performant Go code for common systems and backend problems, explaining problem-solving approaches and evaluation criteria, and identifying issues or edge cases in AI outputs. Candidates should be fluent in English with clear communication skills, have expertise in Go including goroutines, channels, concurrency, and package organization, and ideally have 3-5 years of backend or distributed systems experience using Go. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required, with Master’s or PhD preferred. This is a freelance position compensated hourly, not an internship, and candidates must be authorized to work in their country of residence without sponsorship.
