Data and Excel Analyst

We are working with a leading organization seeking a Data & Excel Analyst. This role sits at the intersection of data analytics and legal operations, with a strong focus on Excel modeling, compliance tracking, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and analyze data related to contracts, regulatory filings, compliance metrics, and legal case tracking.
• Build and maintain Excel-based models, dashboards, and templates to support internal reviews, board reporting, and risk management.
• Support litigation prep, regulatory inquiries, and internal audits with accurate, structured data.
• Identify data inconsistencies or risks and escalate issues proactively.
• Partner with Legal, Risk, Audit, and Compliance teams on documentation and cross-functional initiatives.
• Ensure compliance reporting aligns with legal risk frameworks (e.g., data privacy, anti-bribery, SEC/FINRA).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years in a law firm, corporate legal, or compliance setting with data-focused responsibilities.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VBA/macros, Power Query, dashboards).
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks and case/data management best practices.

Preferred:

• Legal certifications (e.g., CCEP, CRCM, paralegal) a plus.
• Experience with legal tech or compliance platforms (e.g., Relativity, iManage, Power BI, Concur).
• Strong communication skills, especially in translating data insights to legal stakeholders.

Compensation: $90,000 - 105,000

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
