Job Role: Senior Accountant – VAT Specialist

Are you a VAT specialist with strong accounting acumen and a deep understanding of Luxembourg tax regulations? Ready to take on a vital finance role in a dynamic and well-established bank?

We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a banking institution based in Luxembourg City. This permanent role offers the opportunity to be a key figure in VAT reporting and regulatory accounting, supporting both local operations and international group requirements.

What you’ll do:

• Take ownership of monthly/quarterly VAT declarations, submissions, and reconciliation
• Be the go-to expert for VAT queries and liaise with external providers for annual VAT filing
• Lead VAT reporting on company car leasing and ensure compliance with Luxembourg VAT law
• Review and analyse intercompany transactions and group reporting requirements
• Support monthly and annual closings for the bank, branch, and management company
• Assist with audits, daily controls, forex position oversight, and internal reporting
• Validate accounting vouchers and expense approvals
  
  
  

What we’re looking for:

• Hands on Luxembourg VAT experience and advanced VAT regulation knowledge
• Solid understanding of Luxembourg tax law and financial sector operations
• Proficiency in Lux GAAP and IFRS
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
