Business Analyst (Ref:4w27n)

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for generating market performance reports, analyzing market trends, and contributing to the evolution of market tracking reporting.

You will work with various HP functions and engage within the worldwide team to develop communication materials expressing market points of view.

The role requires advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Excel-VBA, PowerPoint, Access, and PowerBi.

Familiarity with major technology data vendors such as IDC, GfK, and Context is also required.

Objectives

Generate market performance reports, analyze market trends, and contribute to the evolution of market tracking reporting.

What you would do & responsibilities

• Generate market performance reports using multiple sources including third-party data sources.
• Critical analysis of all available information to make sense of the evolutions of the market, when possible, predict further movements, and respond to business challenges within the printing business.
• Work with various HP functions and fully engage within the worldwide team to ensure consistency of output and the sharing of best practices.
• Develop coherent and connected communication materials expressing market points of view.
• Proactive in developing thought-provoking and business-impacting market trend analyses.
• Own Printing and/ or PC market tracking reporting including.
• Working with suppliers to ensure good quality data is received promptly.
• Integration of data into the reporting platforms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the reports.
• Contribute to the evolution of the market tracking reporting: formats, visualizations, etc.
• Contribute to Printing and/or PC market analysis.
• Respond to questions and ad-hoc requests from stakeholders and end users - focused analyses, issues with the data, etc.
• Effectively contribute to a cross-region and category HP Market Intelligence network.

Qualification/Certification requirements

• Proven ability to mine and extract useful information/insight from data to build a story that will drive business actions.
• Be detailed and quality orientated.
• Familiarity with major technology data vendors: IDC, GfK, Context, etc.
• Familiarity with SQL is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and Excel-VBA, PowerPoint, Access.
• Passion for understanding what makes the market tick.
• Comfortable with collaborating with business partners ranging from individual contributors to executives.
• Excellent problem-solving and written/oral communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams.
