We are seeking a Mobile Architect to join our innovative team at Cognizant. In this pivotal role, you will lead the architectural design and implementation of our mobile applications, ensuring they are scalable, performant,

and aligned with our strategic vision. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform ideas into reality and drive the mobile experience forward.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design high-performing mobile applications leveraging technologies such as Swift, Kotlin, and React Native (IOS & Android).
  • Collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to define application requirements and user experiences.
  • Establish best practices for mobile development, including coding standards, performance optimization, and testing methodologies.
  • Lead code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the mobile development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest mobile trends, tools, and technologies to ensure Cognizant remains at the forefront of the industry.

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in mobile application development, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • Deep expertise in iOS and Android application architecture, including proficiency in Swift, Kotlin, and cross-platform frameworks.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries integration.
  • Strong understanding of mobile application performance optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

Preferred

  • Experience in mobile application security best practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and agile methodologies.
  • Previous experience in leading mobile development teams.
  • Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
  • Proficient in Swift, Kotlin, and React Native for mobile application development.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Firebase for mobile backend solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile design patterns and architectures (MVC, MVVM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with tools like Xcode, Android Studio, and version control systems (Git).
