YOUR GAME

As a member of the Web Team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery and operation of Albion Online. While our team does not develop the game itself, we manage all the essential services that ensure a seamless experience for players. This includes managing the Albion Online website, handling login processes, facilitating in-game purchases, and supporting operational tools for shop management and customer service.

Our infrastructure is both complex and demanding, requiring high performance and 24/7 availability. We are dedicated to developing and maintaining these services to provide top-notch support and deliver the best possible experience for our users.

As a Software Developer You Will

• Work on projects for both internal and external audiences, collaborating with adjacent teams and stakeholders
• Develop high-quality software in a full stack development context. Still, the primary focus is on server-side Java, which is 80% of all tasks.
• Contribute to the code quality of the team by participating in code reviews
• Advance unit and integration testing of microservices
• Assist in analyzing and fixing issues on the production environment
  
  

YOUR TALENT

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related degree
• Over 3 years of experience as a software engineer in both backend and frontend development, still with a primary focus on Java backend
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot. But also, practical experience with JavaScript and at least one frontend development technology (preferably ReactJS and PHP)
• Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal and written) in English
• Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience with the code review process
• Understanding of microservice architecture, API design, REST and event driven communication
• Experience with relational databases, message queues, distributed in-memory caches, and log search platforms
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Practical experience with ReactJS and/or PHP
• Understanding of performance marketing technologies and experience implementing website tagging using Google Tag Manager
• Experience with Google Analytics and ad platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads
