Software Engineer - Ads Product

xAI’s mission is to create AI systems that can accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. The team is small, highly motivated, and focused on engineering excellence with a flat organizational structure. Engineers are expected to be hands-on, contribute directly to the company’s mission, and have strong communication skills. The role involves integrating xAI’s advanced AI infrastructure into the X Ads Platform, building exceptional advertising products and systems at massive scale, and leveraging xAI’s infra and AI stacks to enhance advertising products on X. Responsibilities include ideation, experimentation, implementation, and maintenance of distributed systems and product features, owning and operating systems and products driving the majority of X’s revenue. Candidates should have 3+ years of industry experience building large scale and performant advertising products and be obsessed with building great product experiences. The tech stack includes Golang, Python, Rust, gRPC, and React. The interview process includes a phone interview, coding assessment, systems hands-on session, project deep-dive presentation, and meet and greet with the team. The role is based in Palo Alto, with candidates expected to be located near the Bay Area or open to relocation.
