WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Architect, design, and implement security measures across Bastion’s backend, frontend, and infrastructure services;
- Establish and continuously improve baseline security practices across the organization, and educate the team on security best practices;
- Build detection and response capabilities to monitor and mitigate real-time threats;
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks to ensure effective handling of security incidents;
- Assist with vulnerability management processes, including identification, assessment, and remediation;
- Remediate bug bounty reports, ensuring timely resolution of vulnerabilities;
- Develop deep knowledge of our technology stack to advise customers on secure implementation patterns;
- Educate and train the broader Bastion team on security best practices to keep the organization safe;
- Lead and orchestrate third-party security audits of the Bastion codebase and infrastructure, delivering customer-ready reports;
- At least 4 hrs overlap with EST is required.


MUST HAVES

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field;
- 2 years of professional experience in Detection and Response, Application Security, or Infrastructure Security, preferably at a startup;
- Knowledge of Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Rust, or Golang;
- Upper-Intermediate English level.


NICE TO HAVES

- Web3 security experience;
- Applied cryptography experience;
- AWS expertise.
