At Amaris, we strive to provide our candidates with the best possible recruitment experience. We like to get to know our candidates, challenge them, and be able to give them proper feedback as quickly as possible. Here's what our recruitment process looks like:

Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

As you know, every person is different and so is every role in a company. That is why we have to adapt accordingly, and the process may differ slightly at times. However, please know that we always put ourselves in the candidate's shoes to ensure they have the best possible experience.

We look forward to meeting you!

Job Description

Mission Description: In the context of increasing laboratory digitalization, we are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to bridge the gap between our scientific teams and technical system configuration. Your mission will be to analyze lab operations and translate them into logical, guided workflows within an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN).

🧪 Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze lab workflows and translate them into configurable templates in the ELN (IDBS).
  • Define, test, validate, and deploy templates in compliance with GMP and internal SOPs.
  • Participate in validation documentation and regulatory alignment.
  • Support change management through user training, onboarding, and adoption.
  • Regularly review template configurations to ensure alignment with user needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Sonia (Lead Business Analyst) and integrate into a cross-functional team with Project Managers, application managers, and offshore developers.
  • Work with the data analytics team to prepare data mapping of lab activities.
  • Ensure data generated from templates aligns with internal data architecture for analytics.
  • Develop stakeholder trust through strong business insight and on-the-ground engagement.

Profile Requirement:

✅ Must-Have Skills:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst in a lab environment, ideally in pharmaceuticals or biotech.
  • Strong understanding of biotech manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ELN (e.g., IDBS) or LIMS configuration or implementation.
  • Ability to map workflows and process diagrams.
  • Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to challenge requests and ask the right questions.
  • Familiarity with GMP environments, compliance, and validation best practices.
  • Comfort working in a company undergoing digital transformation.

🌟 Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in data mapping or data mining, ideally in customized systems.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (used for logging test feedback).
  • Previous involvement in analytical testing processes in labs.
  • Experience in the chemical industry if not biotech-specific.
  • Strong soft skills: active listening, diplomacy, and credibility in front of stakeholders.

🏡 Remote Work & On-Site Expectations:

  • Expected 40–60% on-site presence (ideally Mondays and Thursdays).
  • Flexibility based on business needs (meetings, workshops, onboarding sessions, etc.).
  • More frequent on-site presence initially to support integration and visibility with lab stakeholders.
