Co-Development Business Unit is looking for DevOps Engineer (AWS EKS Focus)

This is a fixed term contract. The engagement is 9 months

We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer with solid experience in AWS, particularly with Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).

You will be responsible for designing, automating, and securing our cloud infrastructure, supporting application deployment pipelines, and ensuring high availability and compliance within a government tech environment.

What will you do?

• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
• Build and maintain EKS clusters and related networking components (VPC, NACLs, SGs).
• Design and implement secure, automated CI/CD pipelines (preferably using GitLab).
• Integrate DevSecOps practices (e.g., secret management, image scanning, access controls).
• Collaborate with application teams for deployment and environment setup.
• Troubleshoot infra/app issues in staging and production environments.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to IM8 security policies
  
  

Requirements

What are we looking for?

• 3-6 years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, IAM, EC2, S3, and VPC.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, Docker, and Kubernetes administration.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Understanding of security best practices (e.g., secrets management, least privilege).
• Familiarity with DevSecOps tools like Vault, Trivy, SonarQube is a plus.
• Experience working in government or regulated environments is an advantage.

• AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Exposure to SHIP-HATS or IM8-compliant systems
