DevOps Engineer (All genders)

Our client, a modern IT-driven company based in Hamburg, is looking to expand their infrastructure & operations team with a DevOps Engineer. This is a permanent full-time role with a flexible hybrid working model and a strong focus on automation, cloud infrastructure, and security.

The DevOps Engineer will act as a central point of contact for technical topics, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement across both cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities 🔍

• Serve as the go-to contact for internal teams and external clients on technical matters
• Provide 1st-level support to internal departments
• Maintain and improve infrastructure on Azure and Proxmox
• Manage operational tools like CheckMK, Sentry, GitLab
• Develop and maintain monitoring environments (CheckMK)
• Optimize and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Automate processes with Ansible (AWX) and Terraform
• Administer Docker environments and support deployments
• Oversee networking: routing, port forwarding, VLANs, VPNs
• Manage permissions and roles (Azure AD / Entra ID)
• Collaborate closely with development to streamline deployment workflows

Requirements ✅

• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS
• Strong networking knowledge (Routing, VLANs, VPNs, DNS)
• Confident working with Linux and scripting in Bash
• Proven experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Docker
• Fluent German (C1+) and good English communication skills

Nice to Have but not mandatory 🌟

• Experience with Hetzner Cloud
• Familiarity with Active Directory / Azure AD
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (CheckMK, Sentry)
